8500L"SUPER ROLL" DOOR

The series 8500L "Super Roll" is the optimum solution
for quick access through openings. The Super Roll is
designed for high volume, high speed traffic in commercial, industrial, or refrigerated applications. A state-of-the-art microprocessor controlled AC variable speed drive system allows the door to move at faster speeds than conventional doors. The Super Roll provides an effective barrier against energy loss and sound, thereby improving productivity and employee comfort. Super Roll doors are all equipped with standard reversing features for protection against injury.
The 8500L provides increased security for EXTERIOR or INTERIOR applications up to 30' x 25'. Other features include an AC inverter with soft start/stop technology with speeds up to 60” per second and a direct drive operator without the use of couplings, chains or clutches.

Exclusive to Super Seal, the super sensitive reversing edge has been designed with a continuous contact strip along the entire length of the waterproof and tear resistant bottom. The temperature has little to no effect on its' sensitivity, reducing service calls.

The control panel is a Nema 4X non-metallic cabinet. Features include a security operated open/close to service switch, green door activation button, and red mushroom Emergency Stop button on the face. The control panel features a variable frequency drive which allows programmable speed. Unique to the 8500 High Speed Doors is the “SUPER LOGIC” System, with power up and self -diagnostic test door motion scan technology. Simply put, it shows the status of all individual devices mounted on the door. This results in less down time when servicing.

The heart of the 8500L Series TURBO DRIVE System is a Helical Gear Box with direct drive. No chains or clutches are used for superior reliability. Super Seal utilizes German Technology to deliver 2 or 3 Horse Power (depending on the size of door) to operate at speeds up to 60” per second.

Besides all the traditional Super Seal features, the “L” door also boasts a Counter Weight Counter balance system that is virtually service free for the life of the door.
